Libra Counselling is a confidential and supportive counselling service in Saxmundham run by psychotherapeutic counsellor Gill Harvey. The practice was created in 2014 with a focus on offering affordable and quality relational therapy for a wide variety of clients on issues such as depression, anxiety, low self esteem, aging, addiction, trauma and relationship difficulties.

Counselling provides the opportunity for people to talk through and explore any issues that might troubling them in a non-judgemental and confidential setting.  I welcome self referrals from adults and young people over the age of 16 and provide short, medium and long term 1:1 counselling depending on the needs of the client.  I am also able to take referrals from G.P. surgeries, employers (including employee assistance programmes) and other professional organisations. I have also received specialist training in telephone counselling which means that I am able to work with clients anywhere in the UK (and potentially further afield).

For further information about me and how I might be able to help you, click on the About link at the top of the page.

The first session will be a consultation offered at a reduced fee of £25 and at this point you will be under no obligation to continue with counselling as I believe that it is important that you embark on therapy with a counsellor with whom you feel comfortable to work with.

I offer sessions on Tuesday mornings and all day on Wednesdays and Thursdays including evenings.  Appointments may be available at other times subject to mutual agreement.    I can be contacted via the contact button below or by phone or text on 07876 506096.  Sessions are for an hour and will normally be on a weekly basis. The charge for each of these sessions is £45 for private clients, although this may negotiable for those people who are unemployed or on a low income. The fee is £50 when undertaken on behalf of employee assistance programmes, insurance companies or other counselling that is to be invoiced and paid for in arrears.
